you need to remove all the plastic trims and panels around the inside of the car that travel to the roof lining to be able to drop it . ie , inner windscreen trims that travel up to the roof , the seatbelt upwards trims , rear inner quater panels by your back seat/parcel shelf area , plastic trim across inside rear of car between rear quarters , sunroof and door rubber trims , all inner roof grab handles/lights etc etc . you get the idea . the roof lining is very easy to damage so be careful !

well i say its easy but i never took the whole thing out. all i did was took the rear trim out and took the door seal off so i could get my hands in to reconnect the drain pipe and install a new arial. but i should imagine it will be easy to take the whole thing out.

I took mine out had it covered in black felt and refitted it. It's quite easy as long as you are reasonably compenent with a couple of screwdrivers and a socket to remove the seatbelts.

My roof lining is black, looks much better than the crappy cream colour.
