Sorry to hear about your car it's so fekkin annoying when the little tw@ts get away with it. Car security is all about how much you want to spend but I'd say if you are feeling flush then get a CAT1 alarm system with microwave field inside so that if they smash the windows the alarm will still go off. Get some armour door plates for the door handles so that they can't get in by knacking the handles (I learnt the hard way about that one!
) and get a big disklock jobbie for the steering wheel, it don't look great but it does the job. Depending on how much you want to spend you could also put a Tracker on so that even if they do get past the security you can still locate the vehicle.
A quick fix is a cheap alarm (?anything), door plates (?15 - ?45) and a disklock (about ?80 or less)
Make it as hard for them as you can and then they'll go off and try an easier car, that's my outlook on it.
