So what parts or items are lacking on the GTi then?

It doesn't use a 1.4 lump so that out?

But what about options such as Xennons? We know the Roc's had major delay problems with these a while back, are the August order people all wanting Xennons?

Dave

Could be any number of parts - there are thousands on a car. It's more than xenons and 'an engine', itself built from hundreds of components. Only takes one part missing to stop it being a complete GTI. Unless you are happy running your new car without valve springs. Won't get far though.

Or it might be something else entirely. Maybe aliens have discovered the GTI is a wonderful machine and have infiltrated Wolfsburg so they can divert half the production to Mars.

I was told it was because of the new engines been intorduced to the line. The 16TDI etc and new markets demands was the cause of the delay.
