fan and thermostat

My car get to the middle on the temp gauge but I'm sure I've never heard the fans come on. It gets warm in the car when the heatings on but its not hot like I'd expect to be

Do u think I should change the thermostat and the fan switch???
I was gonna change them for the neuspeed 180 f ones both of them uprated just to be on the safe side

Leave it idling on your driveway. You'll soon know if the fan works.
