g60's had 280mm brakes


imo the 256 v's are like the 1.8 ltr cl's .   they are out there but there arn't meany at all and they probaly wern't intended production.  the 1800 1.6's were a factory f**kup the 256 braked 8vs probly a supply issue so they carried on makeing with the next part up.  

have seen sh!tloads of gtis with 256 brakes tho most have been retrofited at some point but theses mods were been done to these cars when new so had pklenty of chance to happen
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Jeez, god knows what mine are then. It stops well though and doesnt seem to get much fade when I kane it. I'll get the tape measure out tomorrow lol

Out of curiosity, are the VR6 brake 280mm aswell?

5 stud setups are 288mm.   but for 4 stud 280's are used
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

5stud mk3 are 280mm up to around 96, from then on they're 288. Not VR6 specific either, its an age thing. the early 280mm calipers & carriers on the MK3 are the same as G60 setup
