Golf Mk6 next year's spec published by VW?
« on: 08 November 2009, 20:53 »
Sorry if this is a newbie question, but does VW normally change it's spec year on year, and do they normally announce in Dec etc about following years car spec?

Just wondering as VW customer service didn't know when next years spec will be announced nor could they advise if VW change year on year, etc etc.

They change midway through the year, cannot remember off the top of my head but around may/June time iirc  becomes the next model year, then often slight things done at the midway point through that model year.

I posted the Build week update for November ie the mid year changes for model year 2010 in your other thread.

Yep new model production usually starts late June/early July for intro to the European market around September. We normally don't see RHD cars until December. This year has been a bit different though for obvious reasons.

Thanks guys. Was interested to know if there might be any changes to my car as it's build week is early next year hence the question about next year's car spec.

Regarding the other thread, was just a thought. Might be very useful if we had a single sticky thread so that we can post up build week changes \ notification when known (guessing joe public doesn't get to know and that these notifications are sent to dealers only, unless anyone knows a way of subscribing).
