have a lot of makita stuff here
tbh for what it is it's bloody cheep if you buy the tools bare, the batterys are expensive £55 a pop but been lithium ion there worth it. all my cordless kit makita stuff is 18v LXT stuff. the batteries are seriously good comapred to most ( battery seem to let most kit down ) i like that they charge bloody quick and give all the grunt to the last few moment then they stop, unlip nicads and nicel metal that just limp on for gages in a half arsed manner. hence i offloaded all my dewalt kit about 2 weeks after buying first makita
i got one of the bigger inpacters ether the btw450 or it predicessor . never measured it's actual torque but it i enough and it pisses overe the cheep air ones and holds it's own with the better air ones. only problem is every bugger keeps on borrowing it. the other reason i have so much time for makita is warranty and service if you kill it lob it back to the dealer you got it from or just send it back to them and tell them you killed it few days later it actualy comes back mended, and if you need a pissy littel part for it you can get it.
was well inpresed with mine. it's taken a right beating in the last year and done a lot of work and its still going strong.
milawakiee are soposed to be as good if not better than makita ( by reputation or at least that was the case ) but not got any or used any of that sort of there stuff
