What optional extras were offered on the Mk2/GTi???
« on: 07 November 2009, 17:21 »
As I have a bit of a fetish for 'rare' parts, just wondered what extras you could get when buying a brand spankers Mk2?

Nice wheel mate. Sorry to bore you but I have accumulated the following genuine OEM parts on my mk2:

Electric windows.
Electric/heated mirrors.
Rear headrests and split fold rear seat.
Tinted Hella interior light.
Ebay rare(!) door speakers.
Black, plastic boot trim.

I'd love a set of headlamp washers, but they're discontinued, checked yesterday!

My friend in the US is sending me some US spec parts to add to my unusual parts fitted.

Anyone got anything 'rare' or unusual???

I'm not sure if this is standard but I have 5 electric window switches on the center console - 1 for each window and the fifth one does them all
