hi iam looking for a new engine mines a 1.8 carb. will a mark 2 k jet fit. has the kjet got a electronic fuel pump or a mechanical or has it still got the hole in the block for the mechanical pump.

any MK1/2 Golf or Scirocco 1.8 block will fit, and they all have the mech pump hole on the front regardless of carb or injection. only thing is the injection engines dont have the carb inlet coolant channel hole on the head, plus you'll need to block the injector holes. If you have the std 2e2 carb then you need to drill the coolant hole, otherwise it wont work at all. If you have a webber then it should work just fine. Alternatively just swap your old head over
