Refitting Chin Spoiler
« on: 04 November 2009, 22:33 »
I've had to replace my big front bumper. After it was painted I've tried to reattach the chin spoiler with little success.

Any tips in how to press the spoiler into the bumper? The only thing I can think of is to use a G-clamp.

i done this a few times, The best way i found is 2 start at 1 end, check which end by where they meet in middle, cause they slot 2gether 1 behind the other, And then get the slots in as far as you can, Then get a thick tee shirt and an lump hammer an bang them in,, works every time, If you a bit unsure use the palm of your hand 1st and see how you get on,,
No guts No glory,

I've managed to get the middle portions in using that method. There is just too much play in the bumper for the ends. I'll try starting there and see what happens. Cheers.
