radiator fan fuse

mine keeps blowing at the point that it should come on and my temp gauge isnt working.ive unplugged the fan to see if it was a short in the motor and still no good and checked the fuse on the turret under the coolant bottle and also had a look at the wireing and cant see anything.has anyone got any ideas please

Mabye the value (amperage) of the fuse you are using is too low.

I would suggest you have a sender problem if the gauge is not working.

is the sender on the rad near the fan?

dunno lol k reg 2l gti 8v if that helps is it a single wire sensor on the end of the engine?

Probably a 2E engine take the wire off the sender unit and touch it to earth, if the gauge goes to the top, the sender unit is faulty

No, unrelated, as I mentioned earlier check the fuses rating. The fan uses a lot of power.

it is a 30 amp and i have been using the right fuses and also when the fans meant to be running on after uve turned off the ignition it still blows the fuse
