Look like powder coated ones like Robin said. So no there not an original factory finish.

....I got fed up with trying to keep the white worm at bay from my original oem BBS Monza 18's and so had them refurb'd and powdercoated Smoked Chrome. Slightly reluctantly because I like them so much, I'm offering them for sale as I have some lightweight OZ's.

^If they had been cheaper i would have probably bought myself a chrismas present.  But once i worked out the cost of adding decent tyres, valves, fitting, the cost start running away for me as good as they are for secondhand wheels and im sure you will sell them no problem. I think i may have some northern skinflint in me been so far North
Im still not 100% sure how dark they really are as they never look the same in any of the photos. Im also not sure how they would look on a shadow blue.  :undecided:

I understand, Geoff

They do tend to look different in different lighting conditions - Something which I rather like. So much so that I'm not desperate to sell them and one could end up on my bedroom wall (I have a very large bedroom!). Also, IF I decided to sell my GTI (as likely as Hell freezing over) in the not so distant future, I would probably want to put them back on the GTI and transfer my OZ's to a new car if they fitted.
