VR6 Alarm

I have been asked by a friend who has a 1996 VR6 if I can dissable his alarm from "Auto setting" by using my vagcom?

Now I have never heard of this or understand why he wants it done but does anyone know if its possile?

No, because it's aftermarket.
Golf MK3 1.8 auto and I didn't pay a grand for the "priveledge" :grin:, auto windows all round and a AC. Oh and I've got a luggage net you pricks!

Does that make my willy look bigger?

He told me it was a factory fit one?

Sorry for sounding a bit vague on the mk3 system but I have only had MK4's

Maybe I stand corrected then but I'm fairly sure the stock alarm system doesn't arm itself.

Hmm not sure now, Guess I need to see the car & have a look, Would the alarm system come under the central convenience section of Vagcom?

dont think you can get to the alarm using vagcom on the mk3's because it is fitted seperatly

find out which alarm it is (vw did sell "factory fit option" several alarms).. there's a guide in mainte about the main vw alarm's
