Hmmmm - these 'delays' maybe back up what VAG told me a month ago.

They said something along the lines of add 6 weeks from a build week before you get your hands on the car.

Clearly, something has changed / is changing as this wasn't the case last year / earlier this year ??

Update on mine.

Its now showing shipped and should be at dealers later this week, collection should be 12th or 13th!

Are you in Scotland / Northern England too?  It seems the other boats are shipping frequently - just the one into Tyne port thats not going.  It was 3 weeks ago tomorrow (Wed 7th) that my cars status changed from confirmed build to awaiting shipment.  For some bizarre reason I believed the dealer when he said it might be earlier than expected.  Instead its not moved for 3 weeks and is going to be later than expected!

unfortunatly in the gloucestershire so not really the north.  I would expect the bristol port to be the one if thats where they come in to.

Guys i'm trying to track my order, but my sales guy is away and his manager is away.

I don't have any reference from my dealer. Can i call VW CS and ask them what the status is of my order?

Yes - you should be able to easily.

They can cross-ref the dealer/model/spec/date etc with the commission # so shouldn't be a problemo.

I called VW CS this afternoon to find out what was going on.
My car is waiting for a ship at the Emden docks.  There 'may' be one on Friday  :rolleyes:

Its worth going onto Google Maps and looking at the Sat view of Emden - VW have BILLIONS of cars lying about!!!

It just seems that there is no consistency with shipping, my car was completed by the 19th of march and arrived at my dealer yesterday 6th april so less than 3 weeks!

The actual shipping only takes 6 hours (according to my dealer!).  I just need to get a slot on an Emden -> Tyne boat.
The CS chap I spoke to said I should have the car within 2 weeks.  I heard that 3 weeks ago!!
