Has anyone in Scotland / North England had an update telling them whether their car has actually shipped yet? 
I spoke to my dealer yesterday who said I was still 'awaiting shipment' - but it wouldn't be updated as it was a bank holiday weekend.  It seems odd that there is no way of them knowing when its going to ship.

Dealer phoned the wife today, Arnold Clark Greenock asking what tiers I want on the Visions as they can't get the tiers I wanted. Goodyear F's. Wife phones around a few tyer dealers and it seems to be the case.
Anyway my car is arriving at the dealer tomorrow. :laugh:

VW system updates are normally tuesdays and thursdays.
James Goulds car is now at the dealers in the north east  :wink:

Salesman emailed me this afternoon saying there was no update - and it was still 'awaiting shipment'.
This is soooooo annoying!!!

p3eps, I seem to be in the same situation as you, left a message on my salesman's answerphone this morning, got no reply. Car was built week 10, this is now week 14. What on earth is going on!

Are you in Scotland / Northern England too?  It seems the other boats are shipping frequently - just the one into Tyne port thats not going.  It was 3 weeks ago tomorrow (Wed 7th) that my cars status changed from confirmed build to awaiting shipment.  For some bizarre reason I believed the dealer when he said it might be earlier than expected.  Instead its not moved for 3 weeks and is going to be later than expected!

If its been sitting at the docks for 15 days iirc you can get the dealer to request a priority status on your car and that makes sure its on the next boat.

My car was built wk11 and arrived at the dealership today in cumbria, collecting the 17th! woohoo! :laugh:
