Getting pretty annoyed now, ordered mid August, was meant to collect on Jan 6th, then got put back a month, then another 2 weeks, car is built but awaiting shipment. Rang dealer today, and they couldn't tell me when it would even be shipped, excuse given was the bad weather, as they have to clear all the snow from the cars 

7 months for a golf!!!! 

Join the club mate, Quite a few of us August orders have suffered badly, and not been treated that well imo.
 

Reckon that's the excuse I'll be told as well then...And just when you think the saga's coming to an end ...

Well, had a call from the dealer today and am a bit gutted.  I placed an order for a white 5 door DSG GTI on 31st Dec.  Was originally told mid-March, then April and have just been told it is going to be June or July at the earliest! 

I'm going into speak to them later this week but I'm not waiting that long - especially with a depreciating trade in - think I'll cancel and get something else.  Best of luck to those who are waiting though!

I really feel for all guys and gals.
It is totally ridiculous to treat customers in this way.
I am mad for all of you.
Hope the quality of the cars are not a reflection on VWs abilities of production foibles.
I am slightly dreading the day when I get my car.

Feel for you. I was told the same, in the end i ordered on the 2nd feb. Been told i won't see it until Aug, but i'll probably hang in there for the new plates.

Yes I hope that they aren't rushing them out just to get the orders completed. i pray not to find bits of the dashboard coming off under acceleration, or more worse the wheels coming off because they weren't bolted on properly, or the engine catching fire or the radio being stuck on talkSport or some crap.

I would be more worried about paint finish from what i have been reading, especially on the bumper edges.

damn never thought of that.... and i'm getting candy white, which is supposed to be the worst colour right?  i've waited this long. in fact if you count the time i've been seriously 'thinking' about getting a GTI it's probably about 2 years, a few more weeks won't matter if the car ends up being perfect.
i guess there is nothing really i can do, i just have to hope that the all is well with the materials and during the build nobody falls asleep

Call from the dealer today - my BW11 has been locked in and confirmed.  He also offered to pay ALL of my VAT increase as a good will gesture (he WAS payng half already).

been told by the dealer today that my BW is fixed and that the car is due for delivery mid/end March  -  does that mean that my BW is whatever BW we are in now?
