Just been up to the dealers this afternoon for a quick look at my new car. It's still got the transit protection on it, and transit blocks. But it's looking good.

No aerial on the roof, i didn't realise they didn't have an aerial. Anyway he's now given me my new registration and paperwork has been signed so just a few days left.... can't wait.  :smiley: :smiley:

I think my car was built last week lol but will check again with the lease co today

Aye, the aug/sept orders all seem to be a bit of a nightmare, but now appear to be coming through. Mine was here a week after it was built, which i thought was quick, so i think you could be in for a 01st march too possibly??

Just had confirmation, and the screenprint to prove it, that the car is awaiting shipment from Emden to Grimsby.  It has been at the port since Saturday so hopefully will be shipped shortly  :laugh:

Can't believe it will be here soon.

Knowing my luck the bugger will probably sink just outside of the UK!

Just had a call from the dealer, my build week has shifted again, now back to week 10 (8th March)

Should get the car late March/early April

i've had a call from my dealer today, he's confirmed that it will be Build Week 9 - the stealer expects it can be delivered to me around end of March.
i managed to blag about £100 off the GAP insurance, although i will still have to pay VAT increase, and i've half realised GAP insurance is a bit of a rip off really, but in my case i still think i probably should have it. although this should be good news, in comparison to what i've lost in my current car i'm still annoyed (like everybody else) i've had to wait this long - i really hope this is worth the wait and the money

Getting pretty annoyed now, ordered mid August, was meant to collect on Jan 6th, then got put back a month, then another 2 weeks, car is built but awaiting shipment. Rang dealer today, and they couldn't tell me when it would even be shipped, excuse given was the bad weather, as they have to clear all the snow from the cars  :sad:

7 months for a golf!!!!  :shocked:

Join the club mate, Quite a few of us August orders have suffered badly, and not been treated that well imo.
