Just phoned the dealer there to see if I could add a sunroof , not a problem as the car is marked down as factory order with no build date confirmed

Think that may mean that he has no allocation. Has he mentioned any dates at all mate?

All he said was that its loged as factory order. However he did say he was 75% sure the order would not be moved back by adding the sunroof , what ever that means ?

Like anyone I want to drive the car as soon as possible , however I will be quite happy to even get the car in June ready for the summer driving.

I did exactly the same as you mate, I added the same option too :wink: . Basically adding an option if theres a shortage of it or say it has to go on a slightly different line to be assembled as the cars are grouped in batches it may move the build week back a small amount in other words delay it. Mine did not. It does not meen your car is not ordered it simply meens the car is not locked for production which basically meens they have not started picking the parts for it. If its down as factory ordered its ordered from the factory by vwuk and is in the que, factory ordered meens its in one of two states, Its either a) waiting for a provisional build slot, b)has a build slot provisionally and is slowly working its way along to the top of the list until it gets locked/confirmed about 4 to 5 weeks before the build week date.

Update, phonecall from the dealer today, BW07 confirmed. Happy days. Just got an answerphone message, and he didn;t mention when it would be ready but i'm happy  :smiley:
