I thought i had read somewere that yellowish bulbs work better in fog as they have less reflective glare off the fog.

If you want to change the foglights to a whiter color (xenon effect)

Go for any substitute HB4 12v 55w lamps.

Yellow light is better for night driving too   (according to the 'xperts)

can these HB4 bulbs be used on the main headlamps as well as the fog lights?
I would alos like to change to more 'white' lights as opposed to the standard yellow.
I looked up the link and the Phillips bulbs are referred to as having a blue effect, are they really blue? Don't want to look like a spide!!!
Thanks, found this link really useful but just want to double check the colour before i spend £23 per bulb!

the HB4 are only for fogs on the golf mk6.
if you have standard HIDs i think you should be looking at the H7 bluevision to substitute the yellows there.
They are blue.. but not blue to your eye. pretty white.. like xenon.

Thanks for the response.
I'll try the H7 bluevision for the headlights.
