Parrot MKI9200
« on: 31 October 2009, 19:31 »

Thinking about getting the Parrot MKI9200 for my Mk5, have seen a few reviews and they are all quite positive, anyone had or know of any problems with them or do they do 'what they say on the tin'? Also anyone know if they're easy to fit, have seen a few cheaper on the internet, so tempted to buy from there and fit myself instead of buying in halfords, who offer free fitting, but still works out £50 more!

i know this isnt much help, but ive had one of the CK3100 for 3 years, no problems, even with iphone.  so parrot does do what they say as far as im concerned.

that phone kits is a very good reliable piece of kit you will need a vw sot lead interface autoleads part number SOT-076
beware of buying from ebay there are lots of non uk designated parrot kits on the market and as such a lot of them do not work straight out of the box
i cannot reccomend enough that you buy from an official authorised parrot dealer (like me for example)
its piece of mind

I've got one and it's very impressive, no real problems with it (it's sometimes a bit finiky with ipod/iphone - have to disconnect/reconnect to get it going - and every time it starts playing the first track alphabetically on your iphone/pod - if I hear Jackson 5 ABC 1 more time.....)
