Something cheap! I had my eye on a £850  P-reg 328i Coupe but it was sold before I could have a proper look.

It's hard when you've had nice cars for a while. What I really need is a big old reliable estate for 6 months whilst I sort the house as it needs work, BUT I'm not sure I could stand driving around in an estate! Maybe a big hatch?

I don't really want to spend more than £3k, less if possible. I did look at a classic Impreza turbo wagon, but it had issues unfortunately.

Maybe a Skoda Octavia VRS? :undecided:

Not a bad idea with the Skoda, this one http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=129374.0 was up for 3k (Im guessing it sold as the thread is closed but idea what it sold for) and to be fair, its a pretty smart looking car not mention having a cracking engine in the form of the MK4 GTIs AQU engine code 1.8T (which produces 180bhp as standard as opposed to 150bhp in the earlier models, pre 2002. Its just a different map out the factory).

Will remap to 200bhp +. Def worth a look.

Not such a bad idea, just want something cheap that I don't have to worry about for 6 months and don't mind filling with crap to take to the tip etc!
