« on: 30 October 2009, 21:02 »
Hi guys,

I was wondering if any one could help me with my problem, my golf keeps cutting out everytime i slow down to stop. So far i have changed spark plugs, leads, distributer cap, rotor arm, ignition coil, fuel pump relay, crankshaft sensor and the ecu pump relay. I have had a couple of mates round who are mechanics with 10+ years experience and they cant find anything wrong. Please please please could some one help me with this as i have had it for a while. Has anyone managed to sort thisproblem on ther 8v Golf GTI N reg 1995?

Cheers Chris

After everyones help and searching on this site, my next step brought my attention to the throttle body which i cleaned with carb cleaner for about £5 and fingers crossed it has cleared the problem.
