Just checkin, mk3's dont have engine manegment warining lights do they?

Yes there is and if its on you shouldnt be driving the car!

well tbh it depens what it warns you.. but most of the time yes you shouldnt be.. friend of mine who was working at germany had this engine check light on her golf for like 3 months and she was driving like 180 km/h each day into her work with engine lights on.. before she left from the country back to finland she went to check it and it was just some trash on sensors etc.. same kind of error that i have atm..
and she had like 270k km on the speedometer so wasnt a new car atleast..

first time i saw the check light on my golf i tought it was because my left rear parking light was dead.. changed it and wondered wtf is wrong with this :D..

oh and to edit: she had also oil light there blinking and she was like "wtf is this alladinlamp doin here", and kept going :D..

i'm pretty sure mine doesnt have a CEL light

atleast mine is between oil & handbrake light so if that isnt shining when you turn your keys im pretty sure older owner have got rid of it, or you just dont have that one...

fair enough if you know the problem, but if you just carry on in ignorant bliss you are asking for it, esp oil light

I've never seen a warning light on any of my mk3's I've owned! (even the red shed i had which everything broke on and needed vag-com ing daily!)

Mine isnt on but ive never seen one light up when the key is turned, does everyones come on when they turn the key?
