What's gone wrong then?

If it's mechanical then a Mk2's going to be less reliable than a Mk3!
Gone but not forgotten;

needs new discs and pads, sometimes it won't start first time and pretty much just grunt so i think the starter motor has had it, I was being stupid and decided to take the arches off not listening to anyone from here, i'm 17 i think i know everything lol, so took the arches off and theres quite a big dent on each side, already hacksawed some of the arch trim for the door trim, but tried to pop rivet it back on but they weren't long enough so we used self tappers and clips, few hours of polishing, checking over the brakes and putting some back to black on the trim and it looks quite nice now, if i can find some p-slots that are really cheap i might just buy some..

thats what i want to do but i only have £30 a week, and half goes on insurance when i eventually get insured, if i can find some cheap cl trim in dragon green i will get it, if not, just leave it for a while, i'm not even intending on getting wheels, even though my dad wants me to get ronal turbos because he likes them, yet i want pirelli p-cuts, buying springs next week when i get my bonus..
