just fitted my hids !!
« on: 27 October 2009, 22:52 »
Just fitted my 5000k hid kit to my 00 golf turbo and what a difference , the road is now lit !
i got them from hids-direct again as i got a set from them a year ago for my civic type r with no probs at all which was the 6000k kit , and now got another set for my golf but this time a 5000k kit as the 6 was a bit to blue which i fitted to the civic .
easy to fit etc and makes loads of difference to these early dark nights and looks good to ! will post some pics soon . there only £60 including next day delivery and you can choose from 3k to 12k but 6k + is a bit of a police stopper as there very blue !
i might get another set for the full beam but not sure yet  :undecided:

No they don't "do the job" they will be sending light all over the shot and more to the point straight into peoples eyes, quite dangerous imo.

If your going to do a half baked job of fitting xenon's (technically you need head lamp washers and auto levelling sensors but lets not go there) AT LEAST use proper projector lenses. There is a reason why proper xenon's are a £1000+ option and yours was £60.

Still, bet they look good :D

it pisses me off when I see xenons without projector lenses, 99% of the time they blind you. Also pisses me off when chavs have them and turn them on in the day jsut so you know they have xenons.

wtf..

Oh and fogs on too.

hids during the day is one thing, around my neck of the woods the latest craze is audi style leds in the front bumper,

but its true when they say hids without a projector style headlamp is fooking shocking,
