Refitting a new coil pack-please help
« on: 27 October 2009, 22:03 »
Hello,

Apart from disconnecting the battery should anythingelse be diconnected?. Should for some bizarre reason the ht leads are not put back on in the correct order-will it cause any damage to the car or will car just not start?

Look forward to hearing from you

Cheers

Jason

there are no ht leads with individual coil packs, so you cant go wrong there (thats supposing they are individual) and you dont need to disconnect the battery, you will only get a shock if car is running and it would be silly to change coil packs with the car running

Just replaced 2 mine mate. 1 was dead, and the other was misfiring.

Just check on the VAGCOM that neither of the other 3 are misfiring.

5 min job.
