Warranty
« on: 26 October 2009, 13:18 »
I have just left my new Gti in my local for warranty work. After a stormy wet night I have found the boot carpet very wet.And for no reason my alarm activated twice in the past fortnight.Anyone else have similar problems?

I`ve had two false alarms, both on calm dry nights when the car was parked on the drive, very unlikely anyone was any where near the car so 99% certain to be a false alarm,i`ve had the car 3 months and it has done it twice. :undecided:
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

Both problems sorted. The alarm software was indicating that my car was a 5door-it is a 3door.And the wiring loom to the boot lid situated in the boot lid recess had not been sealed properly.Water had penetrated the off-side rear light housing so being replaced.
