RA's on a mk2 should have 185/55/15 tyres fitted if you are going OEM  :wink:

I was going to say that as that is what they came with originally, but in the handbook, it states sizes and pressures for both 185/55 and 195/50
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

185/55 is the correct size but people switch to 195/50 as easier and cheaper to find.

a set of 4 good rm's with 4 good tyres go for between £600 - £1000
excellent! thinking about selling mine soon but didnt expect to get that much  :laugh: e38 here i come  :evil:

RAs are the one to go for!

They are standard, and look good, but also have the benefit of not being so expensive that you're scared of marking them - perfect for a chuck-around daily  :smiley:

Seeing a Mk2 GTI on a set of cheap after market alloys is annoying.

I agree. I love to see a nice mk2 on RA's but also love the RZ's as they were also a dealer option but just look that litle bit different and really suit the car. Both top wheels  :smiley:

I got a complete mk2 gti for peanuts the other day. Has a set of RM's on it. :tongue:

So thats a set of RA's, RZ's, 2 sets of RM's, and 16'' RS's. Damn im soo pimp :cool:
