Black grille? Opinions please

Was messing around in photoshop and coloured my grille and lower grille black. I'm not sure about it whether it should be gloss black or matte black though.
Here's how my front looks at the moment:

What do you guys think?

not so keen myself, but if yes then do it matt black!!
think it gives it a mk6 look ?

Looks MUCH better IMO. I say do it, looks that extra bit smarter.

I think it's a big improvement. Slightly Mk6 and definitely emphasises it as an intake. Bottom grills should match imo.

Looks good. VW did this on various show cars and I believe it was standard on some Mk5 Rabbits in the US. Gloss black though.
