rather boring bee sting ariel question

The ariel on my 16v is a bit shot and I'm struggling to find a decent new replacement.
Does anyone know if the mk3 bee sting ariels the same, as these are easy to find?
Thanks!

mk3 ones will fit aye, mk4 probably as well. the mast itself is a common thread. some leter masts are anti theft so cannot be swapped, you have to do the entire thing
edit: go for an amplified base, the non amped ones dont have great radio reception

Thanks Wayne, I'll take a look as its only really the mast that needs replacing.

Being ever so slightly anal about things - if it don't look original I won't fit it!
I'll try GSF to see if I can find one thats near enough the same, VW have them but want nearly £70 last time I checked.

My reception was poor, so I tried the mast off my 2004 Passat (same as a mk4 Golf) at it worked a treat. It does not look quite the same, but it does fit on the original base neatly and is an original VW part.
I'm told they are around £16 from the dealers.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
