I can't believe 3 days have gone past and I missed you're wanky reply. *Note to myself, must stay out of detailing section*

I don't have a problem, but it seems you do with me. Would you like to meet and sort this out ? If so, lets swap numbers in PM and we'll sort this.

Kev, you are laughably easy to wind up.  I saw the post at the time, and recognised it for what it was - a deliberate attempt to get a rise out of you.  You walked right into it, exactly as intended.

Don't feed the troll is the message here.

Rolfe.

I dont mind someone trying a bit of banter or to try and get a rise, heck I do the same, but where on earth did I slate the guy I do not know. Thats what got my back up.

You may note I defended you.  You were a little testy, but nothing really out of order.  You indicated that the subject had been chewed over ad nauseam, and gave a link to a recent thread about it.

Then a post appeared specifically designed to get your back up, and you fell for it hook, line, sinker and rowboat.  You are being trolled by someone who wants to get you in trouble with the mods.  Wise up.

Rolfe.

James...my two penneth...

First auto car I've owned in 22 years of driving and I really like it. In manual mode it is not entirely manual, kick down etc still works but you learn how to not let this affect your driving.  Around town it's great...if you do a lot of this or heavy A-road/m way traffic=bonus.  You do miss the clutch at times and smooth reversing takes a bit more skill.  Just had a weekend up to Braemar and the twisty A93 Blairgowrie to Braemar road was great... I think you get more control driving it in manual using the paddles as you keep your hands on the wheel.  Will I stick with DSG? Ask me in three years time dependent on reliability and resale value.  If you've driven it and are considering one then like I did go for it...It's better than spending your money on leather...sweaty in summer and freezing in winter!

Mate, as others have said, there are pros and cons, drive both and decide what suits your driving style.
