hi,to u all
« on: 21 October 2009, 20:15 »
hi,just bought my first gti, after yrs of other cars(over 20yrs drivin)ok it might not be the top of the range,97' 2.0 8v,but it'll do better than the last car i had(chrysler neon, lasted 3wks b4 i got shut) but first impresions are not of the car but from the d*** i bought it of.I went to durham form warrington to buy the car,2 1/2 hrs later im at home with a broken clutch and a wyning gearbox.Cars a 97' 60k with hist, but i dont think anyone would like that after such a short time. The sellers answer on the phone was,"well what do u want me to do" ,so if anyone has dealt or was thinking of dealing with south durham motors, have a good hard think first.....

well thats my moaning over   im also into bikes a lot,ive got a triumph daytona 955i at the mo' but ive had 11 bikes in 6yrs riding and i love them.Ive had 18 cars now in 20yrs (well since i got my own insurance anyway, was drivin b4 then on others insurance) and i remember my first car.It was a mk1 1.3cl a'reg and it was immaculate, sorry  i ever got rid of that car.I live in warrington but originally a scouser ( ye llllaaaaaaa)so hopefully all in all i hope i will enjoy this car for a while yet.
if in doubt, rev the arse out of it

calmed down about it now.Just the £800 i didnt need to spend right now.but ill look and see about getting a second hand one cheap if poss and rebuild it for future use as i believe its a common thing on the mk3's.
Picked up the golf+ mag yesterday,is it right the mk2 8v fits, and is it a stronger box or do they have the same probs??
if in doubt, rev the arse out of it

Unlucky on the purchase...I'd be inclined to pay them a visit if I were you...

Hope you have more luck in the future!
