Wheel bearing? Simples...

When turning right i get a classic 'duk duk duk duk duk' from the drivers side front wheel. Is this the wheel bearing of could it be a driveshaft issue??

CV joint. Bearings will rumble. CV joints clack.
CV joints are easier to change than wheel bearings too. Only slightly more messy!

Constant velocity joint. It is like a universal joint that allows the wheels be driven whilst in a turn. Its a complicated version of the universal joint in your tool box socket set.

Yer i did my usual of not acually looking it up. As soon as i ebayed it i knew where it goes. So youze thinking this is my problem? My mates CRX was clicking and he did the drive shaft and it still clicked and wished he had chosen to do the wheel bearing.. so in theory could his problem also be the cv joint??

Clicking will deffo be the CV joint, my MKII needs one doing as it's satarted to click on full lock. Wheel bearings will rumble no matter whether your turning or going straight.

As DPB said, wheel bearings whir when loaded (not when moving slow/stationary), CVs clunk.

Sorry to continue to sound like a bell but with your guide ben, does the same apply to cv joints as wheel bearings e.g turning left n click its the right one and visa versa

The wheel that turns the tightest, ie, if you are turning left, the left wheel will turn the tightest, is most likely to click if the CV joint has gone. So if there is a clicking noise in one direction and not the other, usually, you would go for the wheel that corresponds to the direction of the turn.
Bearings will just rumble which ever way you turn, even more so under heavy braking.

Are mk2 front wheel bearings easy to replace at home or is it a hydraulic press in/ press out job?
