Brought my first house for the price of a good spec mk6 gti £30,000,sold it 12 years later for £240,000, now how many mk6 gti`s would that buy  :wink:

I hate all you old people buying your houses so cheap  :sad:
30 grand back then isnt same as now.  houses were so much cheaper 20 odd yrs ago.  cars were only a couple of grand in them days........if that...   

£30,000 is still £30,000 and will always be £30,000,if you mean £30,000 14 years ago would buy alot more,i agree.ok to keep it simple for you if you brought a car for £30,000 14 years ago it would now be worth less than 5 grand ,if you brought a house for £30,000 14 years ago it would now be worth at least 5 times as much.DO THE MATHS GENIUS AND STOP BEING PEDANTIC  :rolleyes:
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

Oh yeah? I payed £14.5K for a new GTI back in '89.
