am gonna have the CV boot done this morning, might push the boat out and have them both done :laugh:, then I know its done...
then I'll get a new tyre on.

Best not to mix tyres, if you cant get a match you should replace both tyres on that axle. (front or back)

....Is exactly what the man at the tyre shop said....
Then told me it would be £120 to fit both new tyres, my powers of persuasion got him down to £95, :evil:

I never did get the CV boot done, Will get it done for MOT

Iirc federals (might be wrong) tend to change shape which causes a really harsh road noise to the point I thought it was a wheel bearing in my mates lupo
