alright folks, i have a question for you which has me stumped. is it possible to drop a vr6 engine into a 20v turbo estate? or do i have to keep certain parts or even modify to get it running?

Ahh fair enough to tell u the truth u should just get the 20 v rebuilt and not bother with the vr6 I'm not 100 percent on how hard it is I expect a compitant mechanic could do it I'd quite happily do it
I always wanted to build a 20v mk2 think that next on my list as I've got the vr haha

Ahh fair enough I'm not too sure what's involved I expect its not too bad just a case of maybe extending the mounts and the gearbox on my vr6 is a cable. Not sure about the clutch tho urs should be a hydrolic one ? And I'm pretty sure the vr6 isnt

Vr6 will not fit, Passat is a Audi A6 underneath so would be better to fit a Audi V6 engine.

Passat engines go longditudinal as against transverse.
Be better off going turbo on the 20v.
