Come to think of it, no I aint done that yet.

Is there a particular pressure it should be at ?

is that a trick question?? seriously kev!! have you not opened the petrol refil cap yet?? (BIG CLUE THERE)

Says 38 psi ? Will check later.

I know this is basic stuff, but it does surprise me how many people are not aware of the effects of thermal expansion.

When checking your vehicle's tyre pressure, make sure the tyres are "cold". Cold air pressure means that the vehicle has not yet been driven half a mile (remember that driving on a tyre as well as being in direct sunlight increases its temperature and air pressure). If you must drive more than 1/2 mile for air, check and record the air pressure in all your tyres before you leave. Once at the garage, measure each tyre's inflation again and then note the difference. Inflate the tyres to a level that is equal to the recommended cold pressure plus the difference at the higher temperature.

I.e. Recommended tyre pressure is 38 psi. Cold pressure at home = 35psi at garage air pressure shows 37psi (if tyre has heated up). Inflate tyre by 3psi.

Could have, KPA and Bar are reasonably familiar, should have maybe used mmH20 or Bar absolute that would really have confused.

Bar a, the measurement of choice for Vag-Com/VCDS for MAP sensors...that confused many too!
