Rear boot/roof spoilers

Can 100% say the 1.8t didnt come with the spoiler as standard

The only Mk4 Golf's to have spoliers fitted as standard from the factory were the R32 and the GTi Anniversary.

Any other Golf Mk4 with a spoiler has been added once the car got delivered to the dealership or afterwards by the owner. Even if you wanted one when you bought the car new, the dealer would of fitted it not the factory. The spoiler was not a factory order option.

Part number for the genuine VW Golf Mk4 tailgate spoiler is 1J0 071 640 AK and cost £94 +Vat plus paint and fitting..

nice one  something else to add to the list i quite like the idea of fitting one

My TDi has one, its on the option codes. So it was added at the dealers?

Just a wee update for anyone interested, the insurers double checked with the guide book they had about cars and standard features, and it turns out the rear spoiler is classed as a modification, its an optional extra and not factory fitted. Raised my policy by a further £51 and all.  But at least its been declared and i wont have any comeback on that in the event of me ever having to make a claim.

Im such a girl arent I?  I was told not to bother, but id rather not have policy voided for something so trivial, it cost me too much money to take that risk (yes all of £822)

I pity the fule actually im taking my car to a mechanic tomorrow to have it looked over, and i will mention the fuel priming pump thingy
