Really? (Fuel in it part) Our mk2 gti is doing around 57mpg at the moment :shocked:

Either you maths is bad, the MFA is broke or it's running horribly lean! I've never managed better than 44mpg out of an 8v.

Nope, not done on the mfa, germany and back we used 2 tanks of fuel! I used to get 54 in my white 8v on the mfa.

The rimz suit the polo even more in real life  :cool:

I thought it was a Polo GTI when your car came into the car park which is why I didn't notice you at first, until I heard the "Oi Jay!!"  :grin:


and 54mpg in a 8v MK2  :shocked: I think I need to swap the TDI for one of them  :grin: sh!t I'm lucky if I manage 40mpg on my daily run  :lipsrsealed:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Might be a red herring, but from the back of my dusty brain, I seem to recall T4s do that when there's a tail/brake light out.

Check yer rear lights are all working.

Just backed it up against a window and yup, both lower brake lights not working although the high level one is. Will get the electical tester out later!
