100% defo coil packs then as you look at the engine bay from the front cylinder no1 is l/h side the timing belt cover end and no4 is nearest the gearbox end
Cheers, sorted it last night.
The conclusion in case anyone ever uses the search function in the future:
Fault codes found:
17963:P1555 Charge Pressure:value above maximum charge pressure - sporadic
17705:P1297 Connection: charger to throttle valve :pressure dropped
16684:P0300 Random multiple cylinder: misfire detected
16685:P0301 Cylinder 1: misfire detected.
Based on the fault code, it was looking like cylinder one coil pack as I suspected from plug condition.
Replaced the coil pack and hey presto, all is well again.
Cleared the codes and nothing has come back after a small drive.
The 17705 code sometimes recoccurs occasionally for me signalling the throttle body wants a clean, so I'll check for that again in a week or so.
Not too sure about the 17963 code, never seen that before.
Anyhow, the coil pack must have been slowly deteriorating over a period of time as the car feels super rapid this morning, just like the day I had it mapped at R-Tech.
Must remember to keep a spare coil pack in the car incase the other 3 now start to go, or replace them in advance.
Cheers
