Leather Cleaner/Protector
« on: 18 October 2009, 00:45 »
Hi all, I have had a quick look through this section and have seen a couple of leather threads but they seem to just cover repairing etc.

What I'm hoping to find out is what the best or one of the best leather cleaner's I can buy for my seats. I'd essentially like it to keep the leather in as good a condition as I can and hopefully the product will protect it too from things like spills etc.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Zymol treat is what I use, have the anthracite leather same as you & I find the Zymol is not too overpowering in smell or sheen etc.......

Its about £25/bottle. I sweep them down before treating using a horse hair brush for about £6.

May sound a bit harsh but to avoid stains & stuff I refuse to let anyone eat or drink in mine :nerd:

I do the same but there's the odd occasion where I have to eat and drink in the car eg choccy bar, red bull etc. Except I always manage to get choc stains on the seat no matter how careful I am.

Yep if you go down the Zymol route, they are the ones to go for.
