Can the moderator force a change of name?
« on: 15 October 2009, 19:37 »
Maybe it's just me but I've become slightly confused with postings from a member identified as R32UK who has made many great and useful comments on this forum and then comments from a R32 who I've now realised is not the same person and who often spouts poisonous barbs at other forum users.  FrogGTI can you not force a change of id or ban him/her from the forum.

Why should anyone be forced to change there username unless they request it. Unless of cause its rude or offensive  :undecided:
It does not take much to reread the big bold red writing on the left if your not 100% sure of who it is. I often go to a forum were theres a few usernames similar. For example ones called 'the hated guy' the other is 'the other hated guy' both have similar writing styles too.  Same forum also have similar ones were people use first names so we have a 'jeff' , a 'jeffb' , and 'jeffd' etc. You just have to get use to reading who posted what by looking at the username, avatar, sig.

Look on the members list, and search for R32.  There are three dozen of us with R32 in our names.  Perhaps we should all be banned.

Perhaps we should trial that by starting with you

There is even a R32
As the R32 is not a GTI then there might be a case for banning us all.
