I reckon if you don't go for another GTI you'll be thinking what if?  It is a great car and I think you have just been really unlucky with yours.  Surely lightning doesn't strike twice in your case!!!

Just spent 3 days and 500 miles in an 09 plate focus with 7k miles on it, whilst not impressed with some of the plastics and interior quality and fit nfinish I couldn't get any of it to rattle despite all sorts of roads and even trying extremes of interior temperature to expand/ contract the trim !

Sadly there are lots of reports of trim rattles on the mk6 golf :(

Fords have been good for this for a number of years now. VW however seems to be going backwards a bit.

The Ford S-Max comes with a 220 bhp engine.
What's the VW GTI again?

Whats the S-Max weigh again?

Just less than the R32

not even close  and the R32 has 247bhp  and would murder an s-max in a straight line, round the bend, or standing still.

Called the garage to order my car just now and the figures were very different to what we discussed. Then they said that 10% discount had been removed. Typical of everything I've experienced during this gti experience so far. Pulman Volkswagen in Durham and Sunderland not to be recommended.

Would have thought they would not be able to back track on an offer of 10% when you have obviously had so much trouble with the car.  Obviously the stealers you've used are one to be avoided at all costs.
