modding with taste.
« on: 14 October 2009, 13:19 »
Hello again guys... Im trying to make my mind up on what mods i want to do to my golf with out it becoming ediction.
Its in good shape i believe, im the 3rd owned since 2001 and car has 75k on the clock, Tidy on the inside but the exterior could use a new paint job.
My plans consist of a few sutbtle mods to the engine to bing it up to about 250bhp and a nice level of torque. Rtech are coming around to day to remap and fit a few other mods. I would like to get some wheels on it next and im thinking BBS LM/RS with a deep dish chrome/polished rim... 17/18s. Then get a full exualst system when i get the spare cash followed by a new set of springs.

In bewteen that im thinking of getting the windows tinted with a mirror like tint not sure how strong i want the tint to be.

My golf is comes in the factory dark blue... not sure what the reall name of this coulour is? And im think of putting BBS lm/rs's on with a chrome lip and mirror tinited windows to match then debadge... Is this going to be a good look plz comment.

but with deep chrome lips on the rims and windows to match... on top of that blue? ofc lowering will come soon after and maybe a pair of red brembo breaks for eye candy. Also not got for chrome/mirror/polished look all over the car just windows and lips on rims. please comment

mirror's windows wont look good i dont rekon. i see it on a few cars and it just looks chavvy TBH. i rekon try something different with the BBS's aswell, loads of people do chrome lips

will be good to see something different.

Yeah dont want to look chavy but with the windows but then again isnt black more common then mirrors?
Wheels are common but i think thats for  a reason... they look sexy and bbs's are some what iconic on vws?

Well appriciate the comments please keep more coming

i think u should paint the brake calipers blue to match the paint of the car behind the LMs, tbh im not a fan on mirror tints but it could look good with chrome wheels
