red stitching on the steering wheel
« on: 14 October 2009, 11:42 »
Anyone else's stitching starting to unstitch on the steering wheel only had the car a few weeks and neer the bottom a stitch has come undone i doubt the dealer would sort this if im honest, I also think this is going to happen to most people seeing as the the wheel is probably the most handled thing in the car

Hasnt started to happen on mine yet, but if it did then I would be straight round to the dealers expecting them to replace it

if you bought an item of clothing an after a week the stitching came away you would take it back and expect a new one.  same principle!

I agree, but replacing a steering wheel is considerably more expensive that just replacing an item of clothing, I see where your coming from. I do however completely agree with you, I'm just saying I will eat my hat and give Dan another massive kiss if VW agree to replace the steering wheel because of the stitching coming loose.
