I read a lot of scare mongering and b***s***t about DSG issues and oil change.....

The VW service manual spells it out very well. There is no 'special' tool. The oil rig is virtually the same they use for other types of auto box. Glorified oil fill tank with a pipe and shut of valve.
Apart from that they will use a 14mm hex allen key to remove the DSG fill/bleed plug and a 8mm hex allen key to remove the short plastic 'snorkel' inside the plug hole. Main issues are having car level, which I'm sure it'll be on the hoist and adding 5.5ltr oil while engine running and temp at beween 35~45c so letting oil expand and excess run off before plugging the hole up. Gearbox does not even need to be recalibrated/adapted afterwards using the workshop computer.
