Who remaped your car? No that is not normal. Your not confusing it with the traction control light as they map come up when you floor it as it fights for grip? Just a thought.

I dont spose you have VAGCOM do you? Would be interesting to see what fault codes have been generated. If it was my car I would get it hooked up to VAGCOM and see what it says as its not normal for that light to flash and its telling you there is a problem somewhere.

Sadly, but as I have consistantly been saying - not all 'remap' software is fully developed and thoroughly tested.

And as I have also repeatedly stated, the GIAC software was designed on and for North American engines - which do NOT use the 'stratified' part of the combustion process - but the vendors of said GIAC software fail to advise that particular issue!

A simple Stage1 remap should NEVER cause the MIL to flash!

That's interesting,  :nerd: Do you know why they don't do this?

Search the forum!

Basically, the fuel quality in north america is shyte.  Their unleaded is not 'Ultra Low Sulfur Petrol' (which is legal requirement of the UK and EU) - which is needed for 'lean burn'.  If they were to use lean burn with their high sulfur content fuels, then it would produce dangerous levels of of both sulfur dioxides, and also sulfuric acid - not good.
