LMAO Thanks for your kind words and encouragement, everybody. As you say, it's often a thankless task, but let's hope I won't have to intervene very often (ce n'est pas mon style)

As for perks, senior management here has agreed to reimburse my GTI in lieu of a salary, and I got the job in the first place by shamelessly offering 6 weeks' annual use of my villa in the south of France
