I think all phones with remote sims work with vw prep, ive got a new N86 that works great just have to put a pin no: in on touch screen, cant reply to messages thou? and any messages you get while connected stores on the car memory not phone, i didnt realise this till yesterday untill i went to reply to message when car was turned off,
(couldnt find the message in the phone)  phone is totally out of action when in remote sim mode and connected so cant reply using phone either ??
Think i should have gonr for Fiscon by the sounds of it, if you can reply to messages

On my R36 which has the premium phone kit, you can copy the message back to the phone via the multi function display, so yours should be able to do this???

As for not being able to reply to texts, there is an obvious safety reason as to why you shouldn't be able to do this, that's why it will only allow full use of your phone once you have removed the key from the ignition.

Neil when you turn your car off go into your phone and goto message when you see the list of message folders press the key under options and in there is SIM messages this is where your car stores the messages.

Im using a N96 and its perfect on the vw premium kit.

You can't reply as such as in compose a brand new message. You can send one of the stored messages that some phones keep in a separate folder. I've just compiled a couple basically saying I'm driving at present and will text you shortly.
