If something goes wrong you take it to your dealer as it's still under warranty.
Read the small prints. The dealer do not cover any components damage by the conversion. You still have to contact their head office in MK if anything goes wrong.
Unlike any 'FACTORY' performance conversion from BMW or Porsche (Tequipment). Your manufacturer waranty stay fully intact!
I copy their email reply. They obvous attract customer who have 'LOW EXPECTATION'
All I ask for is a price and whether the conversion is available locally; this is the reply:-
Thank you for your email letting us know that you haven’t been called back, we appreciate all feedback. I think my colleague Matt has actually just spoken with you anyway?
I apologise that you haven’t been called back straight away. I’m afraid that as the Racing team we occasionally have other commitments for Volkswagen that we have to meet which sometimes means that we take a few days to make contact to new enquiries. Effectively, as the race team we are very different in set-up to some of the more retail-orientated tuning shops out there – their sort of service suits some customers better in our experience. I’m also sorry that you felt that you had to post your note on the forum before we made contact.
I’m sure that from the tone of your email/post that you will be choosing another company to do any work on your car, which may indeed better suit your expectations. Nevertheless, for information, I include below the pricing for a full exhaust system and remap of the engine for the new Mk6 GTI. Prices include all fitting in our workshop, and VAT.
VWR1K0140
ECU Remap 265 bhp (only in conjunction with full VWR Exhaust System)
£587.23
VWR1K0150
VWR 2.0 TSI Front Exhaust System with high flow Catalyst
£764.18
VWR1K0151
VWR 2.0 TSI Rear Exhaust System
£506.98
Thanks again for the contact,
I think pricing is quite reasonable but without full factory support, I rather wait til warranty runs out!
